Cao Ngoi Village (Dong Loi Commune, Son Duong District, Tuyen Quang Province) is an isolated village that is separated from neighboring villages by high mountains and difficult travel road, especially when it rains and storms, as the entrance road to the village is still a soil path. There are 20 households in the village, all of them are poor and near-poor households, children here still face difficulties in their life and study. Every day, children have to go 10 km to the school. And when the rainy and stormy season comes, the road on which they walk to school contains many risks as well.
To help ensure the safety of children considering the road difficulties and to prepare them for the coming rainy season, on 10/04/2022, GNI gave 17 sets including raincoats, boots, a whistle and flashlights for students in Cao Ngoi Village. Meanwhile, GNI also conducted training for children about skills to protect themselves in dangerous situations.
Child girl Trần Thanh Thúy – a student in grade 4 who lives in Cao Ngoi shared: “I would like to thank GNI for giving me and my friends gifts, my favorite gift is a green umbrella. I will regularly use those gifts.”
